This is an invitation for you to become a sponsor of the Adecco Asian Windsurfing Tour (Adecco AWT), the regions most dynamic sporting celebration. This season sponsorship of the Adecco AWT brings with it sponsorship of the Formula Windsurfing World Championships to be held in December in Thailand.

The Adecco AWT brings together fast-paced, competitive action, a beautiful natural environment, high-class athletes and an invigorating lifestyle into a rare and potent mix. A half hour TV show is produced on each event on the Adecco AWT and distributed by BBC Worldwide. This year the series takes in the World Championships and there are six shows from six countries, each adding their own flavour and charm. The series starts in Taiwan in November, hits Thailand in December for the World Championships, moves through the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia in January and climaxes in February in Saipan.

World Championships aside, the standard of racing on the tour is high World Champions, Olympic Champions, Asian Games and National Champions have all competed but the events are not just for high-class athletes. Windsurfing is a lifestyle sport and the events preserve a friendly atmosphere with intermediate sailors warmly welcomed. Winning is important but the destination, the fun and the camaraderie are all essential ingredients. Sponsorship of sporting events has long been recognized as a cost-effective way of marketing a brand. Media coverage is crucial to such an exercise and each event in the Adecco AWT series will be broadcast throughout Asia and to a potential audience of over 250 million households in over 140 countries around the globe.
